Old Cairo, also known as Christian Coptic Cairo, is historically significant as a location visited by the Holy Family, who found shelter in a cave above where the Church of Abu Serga (St Sergius) now stands.

Explore the Church of Abu-Sergah and St. Barbara, the Hanging Church, the Coptic Museum, and the Old Jewish Ben Ezra Synagogue.

Islamic Cairo, established in 641 AD by the First Muslim leader Amr ibn El-as, boasts architectural wonders like the mosque of Amr ibn El-as.

Visit the renowned El Sultan Hassan Mosque, founded in 1356 AD by Sultan Hassan, and the Al-Rifa’i Mosque, which dates back to around 1361 and that has the mausoleum of the Egypt Royal Family as well as last Shah of Iran, Reza Pahlavi.

Continue to the Islamic Cairo that was founded in 641 AD by the First Muslim leader Amr ibn Elas and visit his mosque. Afterwards, visit El Sultan Hassan Mosque that also known as 'Madrasa El Sultan Hassan' that was founded by Sultan Hassan in 1356 AD. Lastly, visit the Al-Rifa’i Mosque, opposite the Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Hassan, which dates from around 1361 and that has the mausoleum of the Egypt Royal Family as well as last Shah of Iran, Reza Pahlavi.
